An error has been detected in the variables measuring alcohol consumption in the Icelandic data.

The syntax used to summarise alco grams was erroneous.

The data will be corrected at the next data release.

The contact form data from Czechia have been withdrawn from the Data Portal, due to an error with the scrambling key that was used to generate new IDNOs in the file.

This has led to some IDNOs being duplicated in the contact form datafile.

The error will be corrected and the data will be replaced by a new version of the file. 

The main data file will also be replaced by a new version of the file, and IDNOs will be re-scrambled. 

Users who have downloaded the main data from Czechia, will need to download the new file in order to merge the main data with the contact form data.

The second edition of data and documentation for ESS Round 11 (2023/24) was released on Thursday 21 November.

Edition 2.0 includes data from the following 24 countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

In addition, data from Czechia (conducted as self-completion) has been published under Study documentation: Country Documentation for Czechia.

The release also includes data from the interviewer's questionnaire and contact forms.

Round 11 includes rotating modules on the topics: "Gender in Contemporary Europe: Rethinking Equality and the Backlash" and "Social Inequalities in Health and their Determinants" (also fielded in ESS Round 7, 2014/15).
